good old FB/SS tournament

Good morning/afternoon/evening, fellow ACO players,

Ever get bored and tired of training in conquer and want to kill some people? From my own experience i can tell you that it happens everyday for me, but there is simply no way for me to compete against the "big boys". So here is my idea for a FB/SS 1v1 duel tournament that anyone can participate in. So one can show their FB/SS skills and win cool prizes regardless on their level or potency/gears.

How to sign up:

On a monthly or weekly basis, the EMs will announce and broadcast registration times for the tournament. Those who sign up will then be enrolled in the program and be assigned a number. The EMs will then randomly match the player to another.

Tournament style:

Basically 1v1 duels, the losers will be eliminated and the winners will advance to the next round which works the same way. The process will continue until 2 finalists are announced. If opponent fails to show up, it counts as a forfeit.

Rules:

Simple. No magic, no hercs.......ONLY FB OR SS. Any cheaters will be disqualified.

Problems/dilemmas:

1. Stronger players will have the advantage of killing the weaker in 1 hit.

2. People who lag more will have the disadvantage.

3. A very godly and skilled FB/SS player would win every time.

4. Possible that no one gets on to fight according to their schedule.

Solutions:

1. The format will not be fight till death but rather to 10 successful hits. The player would not receive damage but rather the hitter would receive 1 point for each hit. The points would be displayed (next to their name or at the top of screen, depending on how the coding process goes). First to reach 10 points (changeable) would win and advance.

2. A special lag free and eye pleasing map will be used for the tournament, so everyone including people will bad computers will stand a chance

3. If someone on the server is very pro at FB/SS, for example someone like chadsexington >_<, who might win every time. Consecutive wins would decrease the value of the prize. And after a certain set number of wins, he would then be prohibited from the tournament for a period of time, giving other players the chance at glory and winning the prizes.

4. If people misses the time for the duels, the opposition would advance but he/she would not receive the prize at the round (explained below). Basically, you gotta prove to be better to get the goods >_<.

Prizes:

1. For winning a fight, the player receives maybe an elite or even a gift box, depending how generous the EMs are >_<

2. The winner at the end, a.k.a the Champion/King receives a mystery prize that might change from time to time, but it sure would be worth all the hard work!!.

3. On the other hand, the losers will get a small gift of token for participating in the tournament and is welcomed back for another time.

So thats basically what my idea of a tournament would be like, feel free to contribute any ideas and suggestions >_<.

The things I would change:
Instead if points, I would just do best out of 10 kills.
I once that tournament is over,
I would have a all out battle to see who is left and they receive a good item or money.
What you need to do, is make a table or chart of how many wins or hits gets you what item.

the only problem with an all out battle is that the newer players with not as good gears wont have a chance to compete, unless the fights will be organized by potency or level or something.
I like the idea of the number of hits determining the prize u get , however since i am not an EM (yet), i do not know what exactly to offer as prizes, so i guess if this event is added then we can work together to come with a kick #$% table >_<

Yeah,
Just make a chart on what items you can win from what.
That would probaly help Cha0s with your event.

the 10 points is better..if we done balance the power.. if we could make it like every1 have high attacks in the tournament then it could be kills but if its lvl 100 vs lvl 70 with no balance of power.. kills would be reall unfair.. and yea a free for all isnt fair.. this is a competition to see who is best.. with free for alls you just fb randomly and it eventually hits some1.. no skill required :/

True,
But for the kills thing,
Me and the other people hosting the event would only pair people with close potency or around the same level.
So the kills thing wouldn't be unfair.
But how would we register?
Make a list on the fourms?

yeah you should make a sign up sheet topic.. and each person gives his character name.. then u look at the levels and strengths to pair em up

oh n btw, what im abt to say relates to the 'recruitment' thingy that was suggested.. what if the pro creates a different acc n sign up and wins the tournament again n again.. like each time he/she gets prohibited from entering, they create another acc to enter the tourney..

oh n sry if i keep bringing up this subject >.<" if i were u i would somehow feel annoyed too =/

i will check for that and if they do that ill spam herc and super an on them.ill go beserk..lol

haha good job, you keep bringing up good points... im so gonna plvl u to like 130 >.>... but seriously i will monitory th tournaments along with the [EM]s and try to look for same styles of fb/ss.. if it does end up being the same person we will ban them for a day or something

haha.. [PM]s or [EM] are not allowed in tournament due to the fact they have unfair advantages... but [GM]s are still allowed due to the fact that the two of us own ...GM robe ftw!
